NRI can request the local banker to issue a draft on any bank in India/Abroad.  Draft can be in Indian Rupees or in foreign currency.  If it is in Indian Rupee, we will collect the amount from the bank, on which it is drawn and credit the amount in the account of NRI.  If it is in foreign currency we will collect the payment from the bank on which it is payable.   This process will involve transit period for the cheque to be physically sent to the foreign centre and to receive the payment advice.
